Spent the night at our first KOA in Fredericksburg, VA. We are now proud owners of the KOA Value Card. Saved $4.12 our first night! Now heading west toward the mountains.

Strolled through Warrenton, Virginia. Cute town with a funky beat.

Pulled into the KOA in Sutton, West Virginia and cooked probably the first Blue Apron that KOA has ever seen. KOA is right next to an outdoor amphitheater that would be perfect if there were concerts this season. Next trip.

At long last, meeting our Zoom buddies Colleen and Robert (parents of Liana, Sam's fiance). Enjoyed a lovely lunch at their home. Robert can really cook and Colleen was such a gracious host. Can't wait to have them to NJ.

Began with a visit to DC's newest monuments...

"The People's House"

Wonder if this sign is meant for traffic or for voters.

Torrential rain as we leave our house, then just as we get on the NJ Turnpike and we're gifted with a rainbow (look beyond the white car in the distance)
